A Visual Journey into my horse series of original artwork

I hate to burst anyone's bubble, but I have not been drawing/painting my whole life. I have always been crafty and creative, but I was under the common misconception that artistic ability was a talent you are born with. I always wished I could draw and was jealous of those that did so, seemingly effortlessly, while giving no attempt at learning until 2014. I had 2 young daughters that wanted mommy to look up Disney Princess drawing tutorials that we could draw together. Something inside me clicked that day and over the next month, I lived with YouTube art tutorials running non stop and a graphite pencil in my hand drawing as much as I could, improving exponentially.

Over the last 10 years, I have become a multi-disciplinary artist, specializing in human, wildlife, and still life portraiture in many different mediums which include graphite, charcoal, colored pencils, pastel, acrylic, digital art and photography. I have placed in several county and state fair art competitions, demonstrated at live events, had my photos published in books, shown my work at red carpet events such as the Lyons Eye Institute annual fundraising gala, and had my work included in homes on shows on HGTV.
